My passion for computer science stems from an understanding of the incredible power it holds on society. If we do not make a conscious effort to fully grasp the capabilities of our technology as a population, such power can easily be utilized to inflict great societal harms with us even knowing it. I believe it is in my generation’s duty to ensure that technology is utilized for good. That starts with an understanding who we are as human beings, what (who?) computers are as our human-like counter-parts, and what that all means for our lives and the future of humanity and the universe at large.
